Our Honorary President

Born on March 28, 1951, in Çorum, Osman Müftüoğlu completed his secondary education in the Electrical Department of Çorum Vocational School. In 1970 he achieved his biggest dream — admission to the Electrical Engineering Department at Istanbul Yıldız Technical University — working as an electrical technician by day while attending evening classes.

In 1976 he began his career as an electrical engineer in village electrification in his beloved hometown of Çorum. In 1978, after completing his military service, he entered the business world with a chandelier and electrical supplies store. In 1982 he joined AR Elektrik, and thanks to his determination, honesty and efficiency quickly became one of the company's partners.

With AR Elektrik he achieved success far beyond the electrical sector: in 1993, together with fellow Çorum enthusiasts, he laid the foundations of ÇEDAŞ (Çorum Electricity Distribution) and took part in the establishment of ÇORUMGAZ (Çorum Natural Gas), serving as co-chairman for many years. He also led professional organizations and served as president of Çorum Spor.

Loved by everyone around him for his generosity, honesty, sincerity, fatherly nature and humor, he made AR Elektrik both a school and a source of livelihood for many employees, engineers and entrepreneurs. He passed away on January 17, 2018, at the age of 67 — his memory lives on in everything we build.
